Oscar Pistorius Cursed for Supporting LGBT Rights

Human stupidity never ceases to amaze me.  Well, actually that’s a lie.  I am very amazed at how certain religious freaks can use a tragedy, which has nothing to do with religion I might add, and then twists it in such a way as to make it look like it is the gays’ fault.  This is exactly what a certain bigoted and homophobic Pastor did in South Africa.  This ignoramus blamed Oscar Pistorius allegedly killing his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp on Oscar being cursed for supporting gay rights.
On 19 February 2013 Pastor Oscar Peter Bougardt from the Western Cape’s Calvary H.O.P.E Ministries posted the following on his Facebook profile (copied and pasted spelling mistakes and all):
Oscar Pistorius fell from National Sport Hero to Murderous sport Zero.  He was the one who told homosexuals thing will get better for them in South Africa.  Oscar was one of those sport stars who supported the filthy lifestyle of homosexuals.  After the news broke that he allegedly shot his girlfriend his model girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp on Valentines Day.  Barely a week after he was charged with murder, the same homosexual organizations he supported dropped him from Gay youth activities.  The same people he supported, dropped him like a hot potato.  I believe that Oscar is cursed for openly supporting Homosexuals.  According to the Holy Word of God, homosexuality is an abomination to God, and any person who supports homosexuals are doomed for hell.  If homosexuals repent and leave their wicked ways, God will forgive them and their dying souls will be saved.  God loves us all, but hate it if we sin.  God bless you.  My prayers are with Oscar and his family, and also Reeva’s family during the time of their bereavement.”
Now I am no theology expert but even the dumbest moron can tell you by reading this Pastor’s diatribe that his claim of Oscar being cursed for being part of the “It Gets Better Campaign” it utter garbage.  The gays have been blamed for many things before, mainly natural disasters which according to some US Pastors we are very skilled at causing.  But, murder and a curse?  Really Pastor Bougardt?  Really?  Look, I am not an idiot I am thoroughly aware that this Pastor only posted the above declaration to his Facebook profile to ride on the coattails of the Oscar Pistorius murder media circus.  To some degree he succeeded.  Before he took his post down last night he had already mustered up over 40 shares and over 200 comments on that post.  The majority of which were less than flattering or favorable to the Pastor.

During November last year this very same Pastor made other menacing and odious comments on his Facebook page.  Comments that I found so disturbing and took such great umbrage with that I ended up reporting him to the South African Human Rights Commission (SAHRC) for hate speech.  The SAHRC is still investigating the matter on my behalf but yesterday I contacted them again and added the Pastor’s latest poisonous words to my existing complaint.  Evidently, the Pastor is so secure in his hateful stance on the LGBT community that he thinks he is immune to the law and can do and say whatever he wants and trample on other people’s human rights and dignity.  He is so delusional that he thinks it is acceptable to take a tragedy and manipulate facts in order to queerly blame it on the gays and slander a man accused of murder.
In the Pastor's initial response to the SAHRC he blamed me personally for him being attacked verbally and being threatened by homosexuals not only in South Africa but internationally as well.  He blamed me for the negative reaction he gets whenever he posts flagrant homophobic statements and make sweeping and unsubstantiated statements about homosexuality on Facebook.  He blames me as if I have a gay hotline to the world with which I rally the international gay community against him.  Clearly this man is so baked in the head that he has lost touch with reality.  Perhaps he is losing his mind from suppressing his own homosexual tendencies.  Only he will know.

In conclusion, I actually just have one thing to say to this obtuse and deluded Pastor.  Go fuck yourself!  I and the rest of my LGBT abominations will continue to fan the flames of our faggotary.  We are queer and we are here and there is nothing, NOTHING you can do about.  So please take that “Word of God” that you so recklessly wave around and use to justify your own prejudices and phobias and shove it up your ass.  Shove it up there real good.  Seeing as you are so obsessed with gays and gay sex, maybe some ass play will help you relieve all that tension and angst you so clearly suffer from.  Or just do the world a favor and just come out of the fucking closet already!

Till next time.

Hacking Facebook

This past weekend I just realized again that the Internet can be a dangerous place.  Yes we access social media from the relative safety of our homes and offices and as such we are lulled into a false sense of security.  However, on the Internet there are many dangers lurking in the dark crevices of your ASDL line, and there are many people out there with malicious motives looking to harm others.  So I thought it appropriate to look at some ways we can protect ourselves on Facebook and measures we can take to ensure that we do not fall victim to people will sinister motives.  Some of the security measures are simple but it can go a long way in protecting yourself from hackers, viruses, phishing and malware.
On Saturday I had the unfortunate experience of being accused of hacking someone’s account.  I was utterly taken aback by the allegations and rightfully offended that I had to learn of the allegations from a third party.  Deleterious allegations were made against me, but I did manage to contact the person who was hacked and I do believe that we came to an amicable understanding and the person realized that it was not me who hacked their account.  But, this being said, this incident just again impressed upon me how careful we all must be while networking on Facebook.

Since I started my blog in 2009 I have fallen victim to several internet attacks by people who had issues with me and my blog.  Since then I had my Facebook account disabled twice, suspended once, hacked once and there has also been several attempts to hack my blog too.  To add insult to injury I have also received too many hate mails to count and I am sure that as I type this malicious reports are being send to Facebook about me.  Unfortunately, this is the price you pay if you blog, especially if you blog about contentious issues and if there are people out there who hate you, your blog and hate the LGBT community.  Some of them will go to any lengths to harm you physically and if they can’t do that, you will be attacked on the net.  It’s all part of being a blogger.
Over the years, having been a target for cyber attacks I have done the best I can to protect myself and my Facebook interests.  This first safety measure may seem like the simplest one but it really is your first line of defense.  Make sure that you have a strong password.  I really cannot emphasize this enough.  “Password” is NOT an appropriate password and neither is your birthday.  The stronger your password the better the chances are that your account will not be hacked.  This also counts for any website you use where a log in password is required.  Changing your password on a regular basis will also serve as additional security for your account.  Also never give out your password to anyone, not even people you trust.  You don’t give out your internet banking password so why should Facebook be any different?

Make use of secure browsing.  It is important to enable this security feature on Facebook to secure your private information.  When you enable this feature your traffic on Facebook becomes encrypted which makes it harder for hackers and spammers to gain access to your information without your permission.  Never click on suspicious links.  It could ruin your day.  Many people’s Facebook account have been hacked by these links such as the “Dislike button”, “Pink Facebook”, “Check out this shocking video” and “Look Who Viewed My Profile” to mention but a few.  The moment you click on these links your profile is compromised and everyone on your friends list can also become victims.  When such a link is posted on your profile delete it immediately and warn your friend whose profile posted it to change their password right away.
Be mindful of what email you use for Facebook.  The email you use for Facebook should be distinct from the one you use where security is more critical – such as online banking and Paypal accounts.  If you use the same email on all these platforms and your Facebook account gets hacked your more secure account could then also be vulnerable and the result could be costly.  Also be careful of phishing scams.  Should you have accidentally clicked on a malicious link or app you normally will get directed to a mirror site that is almost a perfect copy of Facebook’s log in page and you will be asked to log in again.  When you do this your email address and password gets recorded and you just gave a hacker all they needed to hack your account.  This is why it is very important to always check the URL.  Make sure it reads https://www.facebook.com.  Phishing site’s websites’ URL will always be different and may look like www.facckbook.com.  So watch out for this.

If you have a group or fan page on Facebook make sure that you have another admin on your group or page, someone that you trust.  If your account gets hacked, disabled or suspended and you don’t have another admin your group/page will be a ship drifting in the ocean without a captain and it can easily be hijacked.  Having an alternative admin will prevent this.  When your account is suspended by Facebook all the posts you ever made on Facebook will also disappear until your account is restored.  Facebook does this as an emergency measure when accounts are hacked to prevent unauthorized posts being made.  When my account was hacked posts where made on my profile that were horrifically homophobic.  This is how my friends knew to warn me that my account was hacked.  My account then went dark until I reclaimed it again (click HERE to read the four things you should do if your profile is hacked).
These are just a few safety tips that I think we can all benefit from when using Facebook.  There are many more like adjusting your privacy settings and reviewing what apps have access to your account.  But I think the ones I mention in this post are the most important ones that everyone should apply to their accounts today.  My friend’s account that was hacked was a real eye opener for me.  Apart from the fact that I was blamed for it, and I know nothing about hacking, it is unfortunate that it happened.  I don’t know why there are people out there who do things like this or what hackers think they achieve by their actions.  But it is sad and a very scary that we have to go to these extends to protect ourselves from them.  So my kind readers (the ten of you), please go to your Facebook accounts today and make them safe.

Till next time.

Why Pope Benedict XVI Really Resigned

POPE IS SEEKING IMMUNITY. The real story behind his resignation and the call for him to leave Rome. ~ by JoAnne Enlightened Consciousness

Kevin Annett: Breaking News: February 14, 2013

Pope Benedict to seek immunity and protection from Italian President Giorgio Napolitano on February 23 -

International Tribunal calls on Napolitano to "not collude in criminality", and announces global campaign to occupy Vatican property and launch human rights inquiry in Italy

Media Release from The International Tribunal into Crimes of Church and State - Brussels

Rome (9 am local time):

Pope Benedict, Joseph Ratzinger, has scheduled a meeting with Italian President Giorgio Napolitano for Saturday, February 23 to discuss securing protection and immunity from prosecution from the Italian government, according to Italian media sources.

Ratzinger's meeting follows upon the apparent receipt by the Vatican of a diplomatic note from an undisclosed European government on February 4, stating its intention to issue an arrest warrant for Ratzinger, who resigned from his pontificate less than a week later.

In response to the February 23 meeting, the International Tribunal into Crimes of Church and State (ITCCS), through its field Secretary, Rev. Kevin Annett, has written to President Napolitano, asking him to refrain from assisting Ratzinger in evading justice.

The ITCCS letter states, in part,

"I need not remind you, Mr. President, that under international law and treaties that have been ratified by Italy, you and your government are forbidden from granting such protection to those like Joseph Ratzinger who have aided and abetted criminal actions, such as ordering Bishops and Cardinals in America and elsewhere to protect known child rapists among their clergy.

"Your obligation to the Vatican through the Lateran Treaty does not negate or nullify the requirements of these higher moral and international laws; nor does it require that you give any protection or immunity to a single individual like Joseph Ratzinger, especially after he has left his papal office."

A copy of the complete text of the ITCCS letter follows.

In response to the documented crimes of child torture, trafficking and genocide linked to Pope Benedict and Vatican officials, the ITCCS will be sponsoring a series of ongoing protests and occupations of Roman Catholic churches and offices through its affiliates around the world beginning in Easter week, March 24-31, 2013, and continuing indefinitely.

These actions will accompany the legal efforts to bring Joseph Ratzinger and other Vatican officials to trial for their proven complicity in crimes against humanity and criminal conspiracy.

The Easter Reclamation Campaign will seize church property and assets to prevent their use by child raping priests, who are protected under Catholic canon law. Citizens have this right to defend their communities and children when the authorities refuse to do so, under international law.

Rev. Kevin Annett and an official delegation from the ITCCS Central Office will also be convening a formal human rights inquiry in Rome commencing the week of May 13, 2013, to consider further charges against the Vatican and its new Pope for crimes against humanity and obstruction of justice.

Rev. Annett and his delegation will be working with organizations across Italy in this investigation. In 2009 and 2010, he held rallies outside the Vatican and met with media and human rights groups across Italy to charge the Vatican with the death of more than 50,000 aboriginal children in Canada.

Copy of letter to President Napolitano

An Open Letter and Appeal to Giorgio Napolitano, President of the Republic of Italy

from Rev. Kevin D. Annett, Secretary of the International Tribunal into Crimes of Church and State

14 February, 2013

Al Presdente della Repubblica Italiana
Giorgio Napolitano

Presidenza della Repubblica
c/o Palazzo del Quirinale

00187 Roma

Dear President Napolitano,

On behalf of our Tribunal and people of conscience everywhere, and of the millions of victims of church abuse, I am making an appeal to you regarding your upcoming meeting with Joseph Ratzinger, who will retire soon as Pope Benedict, the Pontiff of the Church of Rome.

Our understanding is that, in the wake of pressure to have him resign his office because of his proven complicity in concealing child trafficking in his church and other crimes against humanity, Joseph Ratzinger is seeking the assistance of the Italian government in securing protection and immunity from legal prosecution.

I need not remind you, Mr. President, that under international law and treaties that have been ratified by Italy, you and your government are forbidden from granting such protection to those like Jospeh Ratzinger who have aided and abetted criminal actions, such as ordering Bishops and Cardinals in America and elsewhere to protect known child rapists among their clergy.

Your obligation to the Vatican through the Lateran Treaties does not negate or nullify the requirements of these higher moral and international laws; nor does it require that you give any protection or immunity to a single individual like Joseph Ratzinger, especially after he has left his papal office.

The need for you to abide by international law and not be seen to collude with Joseph Ratzinger is even more true when one considers the enormity of the crimes of which the Vatican and its highest officials are clearly guilty, according to considerable evidence gathered and documented by our Tribunal and other groups, and acknowledged by many governments.

In Canada alone, the Roman Catholic Church and its Vatican agents have been found guilty of responsibility for genocide and the deaths of at least 50,000 aboriginal child children in the Jesuit-initiated Indian residential school system, that operated until 1996.

In Ireland, more than 10,000 women suffered and were exploited in the Catholic-run Magdalene Laundries, where many of them died. Similar church-run institutions all over the world have caused enormous mortality, disease and ruination for millions of children. And yet the church has never been held accountable or prosecuted for these deaths and the theft of enormous wealth from entire nations.

With the recent initiative of at least one European government and a host of lawyers to bring Joseph Ratzinger and other church officials to trial for these crimes, we feel it is incumbent on you neither to assist nor to be seen to assist or condone the attempt by him to evade, obstruct or delay justice, lest you open yourself to a charge of being an accessory to a crime.

On behalf of our Tribunal and of many people who cannot speak, I call on you to stand on the law of nations and humanity, and offer no support or protection to Joseph Ratzinger or his accessories in their efforts to evade responsibility for their proven crimes.

I look forward to your reply, and to discussing this with you more when I visit your country in May with a human rights delegation to investigate this matter more closely.

Farewell Pope Benedict XVI, You Will Not be Missed.

So Pope Benedict XVI resigned.  Funny because the only way I thought you can get out of that gig is by dying.  But apparently I was wrong, 600 years earlier was the last papal resignation.  I guess there is now a big commotion in Vatican City with all the Cardinals fighting over the Pope’s white frock, smoking handbag, jewelry, gay headgear and bedazzled disco stick.  With the Pope sighting old age as the reason for his resignation, I am quite perplexed because the last Pope literally died of old age while on the job.  Maybe all that tweeting in Latin got the best of him.  Who knows… But with only a couple of weeks to go before our big fairy Godfather leaves the Holy See, let’s take a look back at what exactly this Pope achieved in the few years that he was the Head of the Catholic Church.
It is no secret that I never liked Pope Benedict XVI because he is unfortunate and frightening looking.   Another reason, perhaps a better one, is his ultra conservative views in a world that the Catholic Church has lost complete and total touch with and thereby causing the Church to alienate many of their loyal patrons.  After all, isn’t a Church suppose to evolve with society instead of trying to repress and regress society into a distant past that isn’t reconcilable with the present?  Well, I guess this didn’t matter much to Pope Benedict XVI, during his reign he managed to make matters worse in many facets of society and the world at large.

While being God’s representative on earth Pope Benedict XVI managed to exacerbate the HIV epidemic in the world and especially in Africa with the Church’s staunch stance on anti-contraception.  He belittled women with the Church’s opposition to abortion and his opposition to female clergy.  He also displayed a fundamental misunderstanding of gay people making us out as being “evil’ and/or being “unnatural”.  Apart from hating us queer folk, the biggest reason I really dislike Pope Benedict XVI is the fact that he protects pedophiles.

The Pope’s protection of pedophiles goes back as far as 1985.  While occupying a senior position in the Vatican, this Pope was alleged to have urged that no action be taken against a Priest who had been convicted of molesting a girl as young as six, lest it further damage the reputation of the Church.  He has also been accused of failing to act on information about a priest who had abused more than 200 children, and of supporting a system where suspected Priests were quietly moved to new parishes rather than be challenged.  This makes me sick to my stomach and I really don’t know how one lives with oneself when you knowingly move sex predators around to new unsuspecting communities allowing these monsters to further prey on children.

The fact that Pope Benedict XVI resigned is good news to me and speaks boat loads about his character.  He was believed to have been chosen by God and he quits.  Just as he has failed the Church and all Catholics around the world he failed God too.  Currently, there is a lot of speculation about who his successor will be.  We all know how it will be decided, but from what I have read I am not going to get my hopes up that the next Pope will be more liberal and understanding of the world we currently live in.  Chances are that the next Pope will also be an ultra conservative who will be advocating a very similar stance as our resigning Pope.
Some say that I am over critical of the Catholic Church and that I have approached Pope Benedict XVI with an unfair bias.  Perhaps that is true, but it is unfortunate that during his reign he never once did anything to cause my bias to be corrected, in fact he only supported it more.  So I say farewell Pope Benedict XVI, go on your merry way into your retirement.  You will not be missed but you will forever be remembered as the Pope who quit.

Till next time.

Is Google Making Us Stupid?

Do you sometimes get the feeling that Google maybe knows you too well?  Do you also find it creepy how Google sometimes complete your sentences (not much unlike your partner does) when you do an online search?  In this day and age when we are so completely connected with smart phones, tablets and laptops and having so much information at our fingertips with vast amounts of apps, software and gadgets, I could not help but wonder, is this messing with our brains.
There are many days that I sit in my office surrounded with gadgets and I wonder what my office would have looked like in 1983.  My laptop probably would have been replaced with a typewriter, my email inbox with a physical inbox, my iPad replaced with a filofax and my iPhone with a pager.  When I think about it, I must admit, it makes me anxious.  I have become so used to technology and being effortlessly connected all the time that the thought of not being connected sends shivers down my gay old spine.  I know that people managed just fine without it, back in the day, but I am sure many of us cannot imagine our lives without it.  But this begs the question, with technology making our lives so much easier, what is the price we are paying for it?

Every day I see people in meetings, when having a smoke break with colleagues and even at home with friends and family.  I see how technology is adversely affecting us.  I see how technology draws us in and how it is making our real world attention span shorter.  It seems most people cannot go more than 20 minutes without checking their phones.  I am no different.  I check my phone even though I didn’t receive any push notification.  I check my phone even though I didn’t get an email.  I check it and I don’t really know why.  Do we do this because we are bored?  Do we do this because we are so afraid of missing something that we constantly have the desire to be connected?  I am not sure what the answer is, but we all do it or at least know people who do.
Then there are social media.  Being a social media whore myself I cannot be judgmental about it.  I am on Facebook, Twitter, Google+, LinkeIn and Instagram, to mention but a few.  Social media is a great way of connecting with old friends, staying abreast of world events, networking for work and getting sneak peeks into the lives of celebrities.  But with it also come a plethora of dangers.  As you know, a couple of months earlier I discovered with a shock that I was friends on Facebook with a monster who cut up his boyfriend and ate a piece of his ass and taped it.  As it turns out this was not his first murder and he is in fact a Serial Killer.  As in life there are many dangerous and demented people on the internet, but unlike real life you can’t always tell until it is too late.

You can be anyone or anything on the internet.  Technology has evolved to the point that some people can life completely separate lives on the web with things like Second Life.  They can create a character for themselves, work, shop, have relationships and even have sex all in the comfort of some basement somewhere.  They can create a life for themselves that exists only on the internet and in the process become recluses who may lose the ability to interact with people in the real world.  Sure not everybody goes to that extreme, but ask yourself how many people with whom you chat with on Facebook on a daily basis you have or even plan to meet with in real life.  Ask yourself if that is any different from the folks who embrace Second Life?
Even scarier is how the advancement of technology will affect us physically.  Just the other day I heard a debate on the radio while driving home where one guy said that not so long from now we will have technology embedded into our bodies.  We will enhance ourselves and instead of having a handset for your smart phone it will be build into our hands.  We will have technology build into our bodies that will replace the gadgets we currently use.  This is not as farfetched as you might think.  It is already been done to body parts.  In the United Kingdom a man who lost his hand in a Jet Ski accident have been fitted with a fully functioning bionic hand.  But imagine when we get to the stage when we will voluntarily amputate our limbs to get fitted with a bionic limb that is better and stronger than our organic human one.

We have already seen this in sports.  Sure these athletes did not voluntarily amputate their limbs but the artificial limbs are better than the human limbs.  Just look at the athlete Oscar Pistorius.  In last year’s Olympics he competed with able bodied athletes, something that would have been unheard off ten years ago.  Is it so farfetched that in a couple of decades from now we will stand in line to get the newest version of the fully integrated hand, eye or leg, much like folks queued for the new iPhone 5?  Is it so farfetched that in a couple of decades from now all our homes will have WiFi and that all our software for our enhanced synthetic body parts will update while we sleep?  It is frightening, but as some experts believe this will happen.
I am ashamed to say that I really do think Google is making us stupid.  Who of us have not used Google to check the spelling of a word?  Not known something and then quickly Googled it so that we sound smart and knowledgeable on a subject matter that we really know nothing about it?  Maybe stupid is not the right word to use here, perhaps lazy is more appropriate.  Technology and the internet has made us lazy and in a few decades from now life as we know it will be vastly different.

With the advancement of technology we as a human race are figuring out and creating machines and gadgets that make life easier for us, but the one thing we are not realizing is that we are also making ourselves redundant in the process.  The more gadgets and machines we create the more the human factor is being taken out.  Soon machines will take over most of the function we as humans perform and the real question then is, who will the real Master be?  The creator or the machine?  I guess the answer to this question will have an exceedingly complex answer as half of the human body could, by then, be synthetic and a machine itself.  I am just very glad that I will not be around by then to have to figure this one out.

Till next time.
